  • Five Popular Watches for Resale

    December 9, 2015

    Selling Your Luxury Watch

If you’re like most people, you could probably use a little extra cash—perhaps to pay for unexpected bills or maybe for something fun, like to bankroll a dream vacation. You probably know that gold, silver and diamonds have excellent resale value. However, other items that often have great potential for resale are watches. Here are luxury watches that you should consider selling in case you need cash or are ready for an upgrade.

A Rolex is one of the best-known brands of watches in the world. There is a good reason for this. Rolex watches are of very high quality and made to last a lifetime. A Rolex watch buyer will be happy to take a look at what you have and help you determine the value of your particular model. If you are looking to sell your Rolex watch, make sure you shop around and choose a reputable dealer — like Roy Herlz.

    Audemars Piguet

Like Rolex, Audemars Piguet is a Swiss watchmaker. Some of the most desirable of these watches can be valued at up to tens of thousands of dollars. Since the name isn’t as well-known in North America as Rolex, don’t let a valuable timepiece slip by you!

    Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe is one of the “best of the best” watchmakers worldwide. While individual models may cost upward of a million dollars, some models are more affordable. In any case, finding a watch with this brand name is certainly a cause to speak with an expert for valuation and appraisal.

Cartier is a French designer and fashion icon. Cartier products of all types are usually desirable in the secondary market, and watches are no exception. A Cartier watch buyer knows exactly what to look for when appraising your watch, whether it is a newer model or a vintage design.

    Raymond Weil

While the average Raymond Weil watch is less expensive than some of the other brands on this list, there are many watches that are still highly desirable. If you have a Raymond Weil in good condition, it is still worth having it appraised to see the value—you may be surprised by how much cash it can fetch for you from a reputable dealer.

It’s important to remember these are only five of the watch brands that can turn into cash for you—there are dozens of brands out there that may be profitable for you, including Bulova, Vacheron Constantin, and Movado. Call or contact a top jewelry buyer, like the experts at Roy Herlz for more information. We would love to help you get top dollar for your watches and other jewelry too!

We are interested in all kinds of precious jewelry, particularly diamonds of a carat or more. Please do not hesitate to contact us to make an appointment.

Interpreting the Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions set forth herein apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. A court may hold that we cannot enforce a part of this contract as written. If this happens, then you and we will replace that part with terms that most closely match the intent of the part that we cannot enforce. The rest of this contract will not change. This is the entire contract between you and us regarding your use of the service. It supersedes any prior contract or statements regarding your use of the service. If you have confidentiality obligations related to the service, those obligations remain in force.
